Contemplative Worship
Are you an early riser? Our 8 am Holy Communion service may be for you. The service has a liturgical shape, providing a Lutheran expression of the ancient rituals of the Church. Confession and forgiveness, "sharing of the peace," scriptural readings, sermon, and intercessory prayers compliment the celebration of Holy Communion.
Traditional Worship
Our 9 am traditional worship service features all the "smells and bells" associated with worship in the Lutheran Church. Held in the sanctuary, the service opens with announcements and prelude music. Other components of the liturgy include confession, prayer, scripture readings, and a sermon. Anthems, Holy Communion and the "sharing of the peace" add contours and color to the service.
Contemporary Worship
Our contemporary service is located in Luther Hall (the gym) at 11 am. We begin with several songs to warm up the spirit and heart, led by our praise band. The service opens with prayer as we move on to our scripture readings for the day. The sermon follows, including a children's sermon that the adults love just as much. After that, we move in to congregational prayer and Holy Communion. The service closes as we go in peace to love and serve the Lord!
